Update on development of Emotional Health and Wellbeing service for Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin.

PACC and PODs have been meeting with the mental health commissioners for Telford and Wrekin and Shropshire to discuss concerns raised with us by families about the development and delivery of the new 0-25 Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service, which has replaced the previous Child and Adolescence Mental Health Service (CAMHS) for the two areas.

We have recently had a further meeting to discuss how we as families can contribute to the development of this new service and in particular, the parts of the service that offers support or diagnosis to those with learning disabilities and / or neurological conditions such as Autism and ADHD.  As a result of these discussions we are now in the process of organising a series of events for parent carers to come together and to share their ideas about how these parts of the service should work, what support they should offer and what they should be aiming to achieve for children and young people with learning disabilities and /or neurological conditions.

We will keep you informed as these plans develop and share the dates of these events as soon as they are confirmed.  Please continue to send us any relevant feedback that you might have to inform this work.
