PaCC’s Mad, Sad, Glad Survey 2026 shares the experiences of Shropshire Parent and Family Carers of children and young people with SEND.
Families shared what makes them Mad, Sad and Glad, highlighting both the challenges they face and the joy and pride they have in their children. The feedback raises concerns about accessing support, long waiting times, poor communication, limited inclusive activities and the constant need to fight for services. Families also celebrated positive experiences and the difference that understanding professionals and the right support can make.
The report highlights the need for a SEND system in Shropshire that listens to families, provides support earlier, communicates clearly and works together to help children, young people and their families thrive.
