Shropshire Special Educational Needs and Disability Survey Now Live

18/08/2023

A central part of the work being done to improve the experience of SEND families in Shropshire is to be able to evidence the progress being made. To do this there needs to be a baseline created showing the current experience of SEND Services.

PACC has worked with Shropshire Council and the local Integrated Care System (NHS) to develop the Shropshire Special Educational Needs and Disability Survey to create a baseline from which progress can be measured.  The survey will be repeated annually to measure the impact of the work being done, and to help us all to develop an understanding of what is working or not working in terms of SEND in Shropshire.

It is important that as many Shropshire SEND families as possible share their experiences and inform the development of the Shropshire baseline.  Please share your experiences and help to improve the SEND experience in Shropshire.

Shropshire Council and the NHS have published the following information.

Special Educational Needs and Disability Survey Now Live

Shropshire Council and NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin have launched a new survey, aimed at understanding local people’s experiences of accessing Special Educational Needs and Disability services for children and young people.

The survey, which is open until Monday 11 September, will help shape changes to services across the area and is a key part of Shropshire Council’s Accelerated Progress Plan.

If a child or young person who you care for has used services to support any needs related to Autism (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Speech, Language and Communication, or has received services related to an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), visit www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/STWSEND to complete the survey and have your say, before Monday 11 September.
