November Edition of Shropshire SEND Newsletter

17/10/2020

The Shropshire SEND newsletter co-produced by PACC, Shropshire Council and Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group has proved very popular. This newsletter is part of Shropshire’s Local Offer and plays an important role in keeping families informed about key information, up coming events and any changes to how support will be delivered locally.  This has been particularly important while we are all dealing with the impact of Covid 19 and the newsletter has had a particular focus on sharing Covid related information.  Each edition has had a focus on one topic, as well as providing more general topical information.

The next edition will be issued mid-November and will have a focus on health issues and services.  We are gathering information about how services are being delivered in a covid safe way and what families should expect from health services at this time.  We also want to share information about SEND families living a healthy life.  Health eating and being active is really important for young people with SEND, it helps with mental and physical health, building confidence and developing friendship networks.  PACC would like to hear from SEND families about what they are doing to support their children and young people with SEND to live healthy lives.  It might be about regular participation in a sporting activity or getting involves in cooking meals at home.  We would like to hear about how this has helped your son or daughter, what they have achieved and what they enjoy and of course lots of pictures would be great!

Please send your photo’s and stories to enquiries@paccshropshire.org.uk or via Facebook messenger.  It doesn’t have to be long just a few words telling us what you do and why.

Please also let us know what you want to know about the health services in Shropshire and we will do our best to find the answers for you.

Thank you for your support.
