New SEND Guidance from NHS England

16/08/2018

The following NHS England Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Quick Guides have recently been published:

1) Guidance for health services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)

2) Commissioning for transition to adult services for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)

Both of these aim to assist health commissioners and providers with joint commissioning of services and provide guidance on developing processes to ensure that children and young people with SEND are fully supported. NHS England are working with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and organisations such as the Department for Education (DfE), the Department of Health and Social Care (DH) and voluntary organisations to make sure that there is support and services for children and young people with SEND.
