Learning Disability and Autism Champion Expression of Interest – Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin

Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group has today issued a request for expression of interest for two Learning Disability and Autism Champion roles, one for each Local Area.  Improving Services for people with Learning Disabilities and / or Autism, of all ages, is a key focus of the NHS Long Term Plan, and the LGA and Association of Directors of Adult Services (ADASS) Outcomes and Improvement Framework.

They are looking for someone with experience of working in health, social care or the voluntary services, which includes those with a lived experience of Learning Disability and/or Autism or a family carer.  Each role will require a commitment of 4 hours per week in return for £4500pa. Flexible working will be offered and all the training and support need to carry out this role will be provided by the CCG.  Further details of the role can be found here.
