Annual National Conference of Parent Carer Forums

27/11/2017

Annual National Conference of Parent Carer Forums
Etihad Stadium, Manchester | 27-28 Nov 2017

"Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success." Henry Ford

Parent Participation is at a unique crossroads. The three-year implementation phase following the introduction of the Children and Families Act will end in March 2018, and though we have achieved a great deal there is a still a lot to do to create the kind of cultural change across education, health and social care that we all want to see.
As we approach the ten year anniversary of Parent Carer Forum grants in 2018, this year’s conference will reflect back as well as looking forwards. Our new venue will allow us to accommodate more Forums than ever before, and the inclusion of an extra half day will give Forums, and the NNPCF, a dedicated space to consider their needs and plan ahead. Our conference will also role-model co-production in many areas, sending a powerful signal to our fellow travellers on this vital journey.

More details about the conference are on the attached flyer.

Sarah Thomas, PACC's Participation Co-ordinator and Angela Price a PACC Board member and Parent Rep will be attending on behalf of PACC and Shropshire and will share further news about the event.
