Supporting PACC

You can support PACC by becoming either a voting or non-voting member, a trustee or a volunteer

Why membership matters

Being a member of PACC means you will be part of a community of people who care about the same issues and want to make a positive difference. Membership gives you a voice in how PACC is run and helps us stay rooted in the needs and experiences of the community we serve.

What membership provides

  • A say in key decisions – Members have an opportunity to ask questions and participate in discussions at general meetings to help share our future direction and when register as a voting member can vote on key matters such as the election of trustees.
  • A stronger organisation – Your membership helps ensure transparency, accountability, and good governance and helps PACC to be democratic, open, and responsive.
  • Opportunity to become a trustee – Trustees play a vital role in providing strategic leadership, ensuring good governance, and safeguarding PACC’s purpose, values, and long-term sustainability. Please see the Charity Commission Guidance to find out what’s involved

The Management Committee would be delighted to hear from anyone who would be willing to stand for election as a trustee at the forthcoming AGM.

You do not need to have previous experience as a trustee. You just need to be willing to give your time, commitment, and skills to contribute to the effective running of our organisation. An essential skill you can offer is your lived experience as a parent or family carer but we would also welcome other skills and experience, including finance, accounting, marketing and communications, legal, IT, governance and people management.

If you are interested in becoming a trustee, please complete the nomination form by 5pm on Friday 8th May 2026.

All valid nominations will be circulated to those who are eligible to vote at the AGM.

If you have any questions about the AGM or about becoming a trustee please contact Sarah Thomas at enquiries@paccshropshire.org.uk or 07398 120311.

Thank you for your support. We hope to see you at the AGM.
