Summary of PACC’s Engagement with the Shropshire SEND Community 24/25

PACC was asked to provide a report to the Shropshire SEND and Alternative Provision SEND Partnership Board outlining its engagement activity and key messages heard during 2024/25.

The presentation provides an overview of PACC’s aims, how we work and engage with the Shropshire SEND Community across all our work areas.  It summarises the level of contact with parent carers and family carers and the key themes in the feedback that they shared with PACC.

It is clear that there are still some major challenges in delivering the support needed by SEND families in Shropshire.  There are significant concerns about the timeliness of the EHCP process, the clarity of information provided by the local system, and the responsiveness of some services including BeeU and Children’s Social Care.

This report will be presented to the SEND and AP Partnership Board in November 25.
