Needing additional support from Social Carer Services is often a fact of life for SEND Families. While all of us would prefer to not to have to ask for help, the reality of raising a child with SEND is that it can be difficult and sometimes help is needed. This could be through developing Parent Carers understanding or knowledge of the SEND system or how to parent a child with SEND, it could be help with managing the emotions that raising a child with SEND can sometimes trigger or it could be being able to access a break from the caring role through Short Breaks.
Social Care support for Parent Carers in Shropshire is delivered through either Early Help Services or the Disabled Children’s Team. PACC want to understand your experience of this support and in particular what needs to happen to improve your experience of Social Care Services. We have developed a very short survey to help with this work asking for your ideas about how your experience of Social Care support could be improved.
Please take a few minutes to complete this survey – the more Parent Carers we hear from the bigger impact we can have! You can complete the survey here
