Childrens Services - General Information

Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970 (Section 2) This is the law that requires local authorities to provide specified welfare services to disabled individuals including short breaks, equipment, adaptations, recreational services, and home assistance.

Children and Families Act 2014 (Section 3) Part 3 of this Act lays out how local authorities must deliver services for children and young people with SEND, including the principles guiding their actions.
