PACC previously shared information about plans to create a pilot ‘Assistive Technology Lending Library’ as part of the SEND and Alternative Provision Change Programme in Shropshire. These plans are now progressing and Shropshire Council would like to hear from SEND families about which items would be most helpful to purchase for the library?
They have created a short survey for families to complete and suggest the assistive technology they would like to have access to. The library would allow equipment and/or software to be available for schools/settings to ‘try before they buy’ and will be lent to schools for a fixed period of time (around half a term). At the end of the trial period, schools will return the equipment and will then decide if they wish to purchase their own equipment and software for continued use.
All equipment will be for use while in school only and will not be available for children and young people to take home.
You can complete the survey here
The survey is open until the 10th October
